Anyway, the old saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" is a pretty good one. Most of those old sayings came from some knowledge of the world and how to stay out of trouble. For some reason, human nature says that people want to be most critical when they are young and actually don't know much about the world, but think they do. Go figure! As long as you know you have not done anything with a malicious intent, then you can't worry about people's interpretations of your actions. As you get older, you care less and less about what people think. My mother was once much like Megalynn (even in adulthood), but she said in her later years that she just didn't have time to worry about it. |
